Before signing to Fueled By Ramen in 2001, Cadillac Blindside from Minneapolis, MN released Read The Book, Seen The Movie on Soda Jerk records. The bands's mission statement and powerful debut sounds as relevant today as it did back in 2000. They pull songwriting elements from the likes of The Get Up Kids, dark imagery and hooks from Alkaline Trio and the grit and pop fueled aggression of Dillinger Four. Songs are weaved together with sounds of rainfall presumably pouring over a cemetary and a night drive down Minnesota's I-90. For those of us lucky enough to have found Cadillac Blindside in the early aughts, it's a dream to finally be able to get a physical copy of this in our hands (sspecially since it's still not available on any streaming services!)
